Get to know the DREAMCATCHERS .... just a little bit about us.
DREAMCATCHERS is a Country & Western Dance Club founded in 2007 by six women who love dance. The Club’s mission is to promote dance across multiple genres such as C&W, Swing, Latin, and Hip Hop to all persons without regard to age, sex, gender or gender identity, religion, national or cultural origin, sexual orientation, disability, or HIV status.
The original six DREAMCATCHERS are all international dance champions who have competed either in team or couples, or both divisions in multiple dance circuits. The six DREAMCATCHERS have experience that spans both social and competitive level dancing.
Our club supports and participates in many charitable events. The members are close in touch with various charitable organizations and are always willing to help the community in any way we can. Although we are not an open membership club, we do not discriminate and our dance team is open to EVERYONE!
The club’s dance team, The DREAMZ TEAM is currently an exhibition dance team composed of a wide variety of individuals at all levels of dance expertise. We have a ton of fun practicing and performing together and also enjoy each others company outside of dance at social events.
Our home bar is the Brazos River Bottom a.k.a. (The B.R.B.). DREAMCATCHERS host and teach dance lessons at the B.R.B. on the 2nd and 4th Friday of every month. We teach all levels of C&W dance and have professional guest instructors from time to time. You are also likely to run into some of us dancing away on Thursday and Saturday nights at the B.R.B., as we do our best to support our sister dance clubs as well as our home bar.
